Product Description:
The MPO/MTP is an extremely high-density fiber optic connector with double the size of an LC. It can hold up to eight to seventy-two fibers, making the MPO/MTP an ideal connector for use in data centers to save on space.
To make a connection, the same core number connector must be used — for example, 12 cores with 12 cores, 24 cores with 24 cores — and the connector must also be of the same gender; a male connector with female connector only. Additionally, these connectors must be of the same polishing type; PC-to-PC polishing or APC-to-APC polishing for proper connection. Can’t be connected are two female connectors, as well as PC polishing and APC polishing.
It is important to take these things into consideration when selecting and using MPO patch cords. For instance, if the MPO connector is a male type, then a female type MPO patch cord must be used to successfully form the connection.
Features:
Cable diameter normal is 3.0mm round cable, but we also offer flat cable, 4.5mm double shealth cable, and armoured cable.
The available MPO/MTP patch cord types are A, B, and C (which refer to the fiber arrangement).
MTP/MPO connectors are available in both male and female varieties, with the female type having no pins, and the male version with pins.
Fiber type options exist for single-mode (which cover G652D, G657A1, and G657A2 variants) and multi mode (which cover OM3, OM4, and OM5).
MPO MTP connectors’ insertion loss type comes in two varieties: standard and elite / low loss.
Lastly, MPO/MTP connector types have a range of fiber counts spanning 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, and 48.
